Calne Under 14’s - 2003/04
CHILD PROTECTION & WELFARE
It is both the Rugby Football Union and Calne RFC’s policy that all adults who have regular supervisory contact with young people undertake a CRB disclosure. The RFU views disclosure as a proper and necessary recruitment practice, as do we. All our volunteers have, or will soon have, been cleared through the Criminal Record Bureau Disclosures system by our own Welfare Officer, Peter Brummell. For more information please use the link below to and see section 12.3.1 on page 11, of the RFU ‘Policy & Procedures for the Welfare of Young People’. We need your help………. The success of any junior section is just as dependant on your interest and involvement as that from your offspring! Would you like to help manage one of the age groups or would you like to help us develop and plan for the future through Tag, Mini, Midi or Girls rugby? We require a range of help, from taking monies to booking fixtures. Not to mention coaching, team management, festival organization, first aid and school liaisons. One of the most exciting new projects the club is undertaking is to train a number of individuals so that they may visit local primary schools to start and run, after school, tag rugby classes. Our long-term objective is to create an annual tag rugby festival in Calne! All training courses will be paid for, by funds raised by both the junior and senior sections of the club. All training courses are nationally recognised, as most are run by the RFU or NWDC. |
