On the 13th of March 2010 Calne Rugby Club will host its 2nd Community Rugby 7’s Festival! The festival will run all-day and along side will be a host of family orientated activities, and then, post festival, we promise you a night you won’t forget!! Thursday's, 7pm till Late

Good News! On Thursdays Amber will now be at the club from just after 7pm to run a free injury clinic for anyone NOT ABLE to train. The post training drop in clinic for those who have trained will also continue to run.

You will need to give advance warning if you intend to use the clinic whilst training. Please see the post in the "Notices" section of the Forum for how to do this. The coaching staff's rules are clear regarding this and you will not be able to drop-out of training on the night to use the clinic. So if you want high quality injury treatment WITHOUT any cost, please pay Amber a visit this week!

Fitness and conditioning sessions have moved to JBS, where our fitness coach, Di Tabley (Mrs Donny to the rest of us) runs sessions which are open to all: male, female, young, old, members and non-members! Please come and join in (oh and bring £1 to help cover the cost of the Gym hire!).

Skills & drills sessions are run on Thursday's and start at 6.45pm, where Rich Kearney and his new coaching partner, Ian Ellwood, run quality sessions for anyone over 17 years of age.

Calne Rugby Club is currently suffering from a shortfall of players. This, in 2008/09, resulted in six 2XV games being cancelled and a late escape from relegation for the 1XV to round off one of the least successful seasons on record. More.....

TEAM SELECTIONS!!

Calne Rugby Football Club's 1^st XV play competitive rugby in Dorset & Wilts division I North. There were strong showings in previous seasons, 2005/06 & 2006/07 league runners up & third placed in 2007/08, however in the 2008/09 season the 1XV struggled for results and key playing positions. We are actively recruiting for experianced local players to join our flagship team!

The club's 2^nd XV have have now returned to Dorset & Wilts III North from where they achieved promotion from division II on the back of a leauge topping season in 2007/08. Players of all calibers are urgently needed to ensure that this fun loving and very socially active team get the most out of the 2009/10 season.
